Columbia Sportswear

1938'de kurulan Columbia Sportswear Company, şapka distribütörlüğü yapan küçük bir aile şirketiyken dünyanın en geniş dış giyim markalarından biri haline gelmiştir. Aynı zamanda Amerika'da kayak giyiminde önde gelen markaları arasında yer almaktadır. Columbia'nın yoğun olarak çizgisi; dış giyim, spor giyim, dayanıklı ayakkabı ve aksesuar alanlarında geniş bir çeşitlilik sunar. Geliştirilen ürünler işlevsel olma özelliği gösterirken aynı zamanda modaya uygun olarak şık dizayn edilmişlerdir.

Columbia Sportswear şirketinin başında Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Gert Boyle ile şirketin başkanı ve CEO'su, aynı zamanda Gert Boyle'un oğlu olan Tim Boyle bulunmaktadır. Columbia'nın tarihi Gert'in anne ve babası Paul ve Marie Lamfrom'un 1937'de Almanya'dan kaçmalarıyla başlar. Portland, Oregon'da Columbia Hat Company olarak adlandırılan küçük bir şapka distribütörlüğü alırlar. Teslimatlar sırasında üreticilerden kaynaklanan problemlerden dolayı ürünleri kendi başlarına üretmeye karar verirler.1948'de Gert daha sonraları aile şirketine katılacak ve büyüyen şirkette önemli bir konumda yer alacak olan üniversiteden arkadaşı Noel Boyle ile evlenir. Noel'in 1970'de kalp krizi yüzünden aniden ölmesiyle, Gert oğlu Tim'den yardım alır. Columbia bütün bu yaşananlara rağmen kısa sürede hızla ilerlemeye başlar. Su geçirmez, nefes alabilir kumaştan ceket yapan ilk firmalardan biridir.

Columbia Interchange Sistemi'yle, çok yönlü kullanıma olanak veren bir teknoloji geliştirmiştir. 80'lerin başında 60 yaşında olan Gert, hazırlanan reklam kampanyalarındaki "Mother Boyle" rolüyle popüler hale gelmiştir. 1998'de şirket halka açılmış ve Columbia aktif outdoor tekstil endüstrisinde dünya lideri olarak yeni bir devir başlatmıştır.

1938 - Columbia Hat Company, Oregon eyaletinin Portland şehrinde kuruldu.

1960 - Şirketin kurucusu Gert Boyle ilk balıkçı yeleğini tasarladı. Columbia şirketi Columbia Sportswear şirketi olarak değişti.

1975 - Columbia Gore-Tex teknolojili parkayı ilk olarak tanıttı.

1982 - Columbia Qaud Parka modelinde ilk defa Interchange Sistemli ürünleri tanıttı.

1986 - İlk Bugaboo™ parka doğdu ve Alp disiplini kayakçıların giyiminde devrim yarattı.

1991 - Columbia’nın patentli Omni Tech su geçirmez nefes alabilir teknolojisi geliştirildi.

1996 - Performance Fishing Gear veya kısaca PFG tanıtıldı.

1997 - Columbia’nın yüksek performans gösteren nem transfer teknolojisi Omni Dry geliştirildi.

2000 - Columbia Sportswear Şirketi Sorel markasını satın aldı.

2004 - Columbia Sportswear Şirketi Mountain Hardwear markasını satın aldı.

2005 - Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Gert Boyle’un “One Tough Mother” adlı otobiyografisi yayımlandı.

2006 - Columbia Sportswear Şirketi Montrail ve Pacific Trail markalarını satın aldı.

2008 - Columbia’nın patentli güneş koruma teknolojisi Omni Shade geliştirildi. Uluslararası Cilt Kanseri Derneği’nin önerdiği tek teknoloji olma özelliğindedir.

2009 - Columbia’nın Omni Shield, Omni Shield Blood&Guts ve Omni Freeze teknolojileri geliştirildi.

2010 - Columbia Sportswear Şirketi Forbes dergisi tarafından en çok güven duyulan 100 Marka arasına seçildi.

2010 - Minik gümüş benekleriyle vücut ısısını yansıtan Omni-Heat Reflective tanıtıldı.

2011 - Columbia’nın Fluidpost/Fluidframe, Insect Blocker, Outdry ve Omni Dry teknolojileri geliştirildi.

2012 - Columbia şirketi Apparel Dergisi tarafından Outdoor sektöründeki birinci invovatif şirket olarak gösterildi. Omni Wick EVAP, Omni Freeze ICE, Omni Wind Block teknolojileri geliştirildi.

2013 - Columbia’nın Outdoor ve aktif giyim sektöründe devrim yaratan ter ile aktive olarak serinlik sağlayan Omni Freeze ZERO teknolojisi geliştirildi.

2013 - Omni-Freeze ZERO, National Geographic Adventure’un Yılın Donanımı ödülünü kazandı.

2014 - Sochi’de ABD, Kanada ve Rusya Serbest Stil Kayak Takımlarına sponsor olundu.

2014 - TurboDown™ teknolojisiyle, Omni-Heat™ yalıtımı ve doğal kaz tüyü birleştirildi.

2015 - Columbia Sportswear, “Tested Tough” adını verdiği yeni global marka platformunu yarattı.

2016 - OutDry Extreme, su geçirmez katmanı ve içindeki yumuşak, nem emici katmanıyla üstün su geçirmezliğiyle çığır açtı.

2016 - Columbia, TripAdvisor kullanıcılarının oylarıyla seyahat giyiminde Yolcuların Tercihi ödülünü kazandı.

 

Kemaler Group

2015 Yılında Columbia Sportswear Kuzey Kıbrıs temsilciliğine başlayan Kemaler Group ilk mağazasını Lefkoşa Dereboyu’nda açmıştır. Kıbrıs Türkü’nün ihtiyaçlarına her dönemde cevap vermeye çalışan Kemaler Group Columbia Sportswear mağazacılık ağını KKTC’nin tümüne yaymayı planlamaktadır.
